Fast, Intuitive & Powerful Interface

Select the points at which support frames are required, and let our algorithm handle the rest:


  • Adjacent pipes for common support, and existing structure and civils for supporting from, are automatically identified in the model. 
  • Support loads for frame design are collected from the model - or from standard load tables. 
  • SupA Frame Generator automatically selects the most efficient structural sections from the project's preferred section list for use in frame design .
  • Connection detailing is completed automatically.
  • Alternative designs are ranked by cost and provided to the design engineer for review and approval.

Design Validation to Structural Codes

SupA Code Check allows one click validation of support frames to structural design codes: 


  • FE model input is created directly from the model - meaning that no manual data entry is required.
  • SupA Code Check is incorporated into the SupA Frame Generator, allowing design and analysis of support frames in a single workflow.
  • Automated code check calculations and reports for all frames provide quality assurance and reduce over design.
  • The simple user interface and support frame specific functionality minimizes user training and increases designers understanding of results and implications. 

Design Optimisation Built-In

The SupA Frame Generator automatically optimizes alternative designs for review and selection by designers: 


  • Most efficient sections for use in each frame configuration are automatically selected. 
  • Alternative frame configurations (t-post, goal-post, special configurations, etc) are all considered, with the most efficient frames for each pipe support location offered as a preferred solution to designers.

  

The SupA algorithm ensures the correct section selection for individual load configurations. For example, square hollow sections are often the most efficient section type for use in torsion, with SupA correctly considering and reflecting this in generated designs.

Fully Customisable & Extendable

The SupA Frame Generator contains extensive settings for customisation of design details to project and area specific details. 


  • SupA allows software administrators to create multiple run modes. Run modes are collections of settings which designers can select to use during frame generation. 
  • Connection detailing, preferred sections, material properties and other relevant design details are all  customizable through the SupA Administration and Customisation interface.
  • ADE Technology provides support for the deployment and customisation of SupA for use on new projects.  

Training Requirements Minimized

The SupA Frame Generator is more than just an easy to use application. It is also designed to simplify the manual and complex work processes that surround pipe support design and calculations: 


  • Pipe loads for non-critical piping systems are incorporated into look up tables within SupA and are automatically applied during frame design.
  • Preferred section lists are incorporated into look up tables within SupA and are automatically applied during frame design.
  • Hard to use and ambiguous frame tables, which lead to over designed support frames, are replaced by the SupA Code Check application for the validation of frame designs.
